Colors of Asia takes its inspiration, as the title suggest, from the cultures of Asia. Influences from the vast, arid expanses of the Gobi Desert to the Asian steppe and the Shengdu Plateau and then onward to the mountainous jungles of Burma and Thailand onward to the northern reaches of Indian the Punjab and the Himalayas.

Buena Vista Social Club is renowned as the premier purveyor of the orchestral sound that came to being in the Cuba of the 1940s and 1950s.Their initial release sparked a revival of international interest in traditional Cuban music and Latin American music in general. In this 2006 concert they perform before a live audience in Germany.
